NEW CANAAN, CT, March 13, 2025 – Gridiron Capital, LLC (“Gridiron Capital”), an investment firm focused on partnering with founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, is proud to announce that it has been ranked the #1 Mid-Market Buyout firm on the 2024 HEC Paris-Dow Jones Performance Ranking. Since the inception of this ranking, Gridiron has consistently been recognized as one of the top two firms globally for four consecutive years.

The ranking evaluates mid-market private equity firms globally based on the aggregate performance of their buyout funds raised between 2011 and 2020. This year’s data analyzed performance from 649 private equity firms and the 2,662 funds raised between 2011 and 2020 with an aggregate equity volume of $2.29 trillion. This analysis conducted by HEC Paris Professor Oliver Gottschalg employs a unique methodology to calculate each firm’s overall performance, factoring in both relative and absolute returns, as well as aggregate performance across vintage years.
