Gridiron Capital Promotes Ryan Gardner to Vice President and Jason Atwell to Tax Director

Gridiron Elevates Internal Talent to Recognize Outstanding Performance

NEW CANAAN, CT, April 19, 2023 – Gridiron Capital, LLC (“Gridiron Capital”), an investment firm focused on partnering with founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, is thrilled to announce the promotions of Ryan Gardner to Vice President and Jason Atwell to Tax Director.

Mr. Gardner was previously an Associate at Gridiron and rejoined the firm after earning his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Before joining Gridiron in 2016 as an Associate, Ryan worked as an Analyst at Deutsche Bank. Ryan focuses on new investment opportunities, due diligence, and value creation at current portfolio companies, including Legacy Service Partners and M&D Distributors.

Mr. Atwell is a finance and accounting professional with experience in taxation in both the Private Equity and Hedge Fund industries. Prior to joining Gridiron Capital, Jason was a member of the fund taxation team at Bridgewater Associates. Previously, he was on the tax team for Sykes Enterprises, Inc., a publicly-traded multi-national company. Jason began his tax career in public accounting with PwC and KPMG focusing on the Financial Services industry with clients in the Private Equity and Hedge Fund space. He also brings a wide array of tax and accounting experience from small firms with a broad client base and high-net-worth individuals.
