Gridiron Hires New Managing Director, Capital Markets

NEW CANAAN, CT, August 20, 2024 – Gridiron Capital, LLC (“Gridiron Capital”), an investment firm focused on partnering with founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, is pleased to welcome Marcus Meyer to the firm as Managing Director, Capital Markets. With this hire, Gridiron continues to invest in building out an experienced and talented team to maximize the firm’s capabilities and further enhance its playbook. This new in-house capital markets function will elevate financing execution and bolster strategic relationships with lenders while also enabling us to better support our portfolio companies and solve for their unique needs.

Mr. Meyer joins Gridiron from Apogem Capital, formerly Madison Capital, where he was a member of executive leadership and the private credit management teams. At Apogem, Marcus was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing private credit financings along with managing a loan portfolio. Marcus also held roles at NXT Capital, GE Antares, and GE Capital. Marcus is a graduate of the GE Capital Financial Management Program. Marcus received an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Wisconsin.
