Gridiron Launches Residential and Commercial Garage Door Services Platform
NEW CANAAN, CT, March 6, 2024 – Gridiron Capital, LLC (“Gridiron Capital” or “Gridiron”), an investment firm focused on partnering with founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, announces the formation of GarageCo Holdings, LLC (“GarageCo” or the “Company”), the fifth platform company of its recently closed $2.1 Billion Fund V. GarageCo was formed to establish a national residential and commercial garage door services platform comprised of leading operating companies with strong brand heritages and reputations in their respective markets. Gridiron’s deep knowledge and Thematic Areas of Expertise in the residential and commercial products and services industry provide the Company with substantial resources and an established playbook to build an integrated, scaled platform that provides differentiated support to its local brands. GarageCo’s vision of being “A Family of Family Brands” allows the Company to partner with owners who share a similar long-term vision and align with the Company’s team-oriented culture and values.
GarageCo’s initial partnerships include: P.D.Q. Door Company (“P.D.Q.”) based in Maine, Apple Door Systems (“Apple”) based in Virginia, and Cunningham Door & Window (“Cunningham”) based in Kentucky. GarageCo is led by CEO, Mars Shah, who joined Gridiron Capital as an Operating Partner & Executive in Residence in the Spring of 2023. Shah, who most recently served as President of Driven Glass North America, brings significant strategic, operational, and M&A leadership experience to the platform.
