At Gridiron, Ed focuses on veteran engagement and initiatives for the firm and across Gridiron’s portfolio companies.

Background

Ed has extensive leadership experience in both the public company sector and the military. After serving as a helicopter pilot and US Army Captain, Ed began his civilian career with AVCO Lycoming Textron where he had executive leadership of the introduction of the M1 Abrams tank engine.  In 1988, Ed joined the Sikorsky Division of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where he had executive leadership of the Black Hawk, CH-53, and support of President Clinton’s fleet. In 1999, Ed moved to the Hamilton Sundstrand Division as President of the Space business unit where he produced many systems for the International Space Station, including the Space Suit. Ed formerly served on the boards of Dent Wizard and HM Dunn. Ed has served on the Board of Advisors for Boston University and as Fundraising Chairman for his West Point class.

Education & Personal

Ed received a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He holds an M.B.A. from Boston University. Ed and his family reside in Connecticut.
