Gridiron Capital Adds John Stang as Operating Partner

NEW CANAAN, CT – Gridiron Capital, LLC (“Gridiron Capital”) is pleased to announce John Stang has joined the firm as an Operating Partner.

Mr. Stang brings 30 years’ experience as a successful leader and global executive as a CEO with a background in sales, channel development, product development and acquisition integration among several industrial sectors.

Prior to joining Gridiron, Mr. Stang served as the President of Morgan Advanced Materials, a U.K.-based advanced materials technology company, successfully leading reorganization efforts for approximately 2,800 employees and 26 sites.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Stang served as Executive Vice President of NX Infrastructure, an emerging corrosion resistant metal technologies company, and Interim President of Kennametal Inc., a leading global supplier or tooling and engineered components consumed in production processes.  Mr. Stang began his career at Ingersoll-Rand, rapidly progressing through roles in retail sales, product management, sales management, international market management, and North American executive sales management.  Mr. Stang holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelors of Science from Loyola University in Baltimore.
